Santorini has to be one of the most picturesque places in Europe - so it makes the perfect subject for a fine art painting. Before painting, I looked at other Greece artwork and Santorini wall art for inspiration - then I found pictures from this particular vantage point. At the time, this was one of the most detailed paintings I had done. I spent a lot of time trying to accurately represent the iconic Greek houses.
I’ve never actually been to Santorini, but I always thought it would be cool if my original painting ended up there one day. I’m sure there is a lot of classical Greece art work in Santorini during peak tourist season - it would be nice to try and sell it there. But in reality, it’s one of my favorite paintings and I don’t think I’ll part with it any time soon. And so, I’m happy to offer these Santorini prints as wall art.
